Genesis Upper Room Church

Call to a 21-Day Fast — January 10–30, 2026

Genesis Upper Room Church invites you to participate in a 21-Day Fast beginning Saturday, January 10 through Saturday, January 30, 2026. This season of fasting and prayer is an invitation to seek God with intention, humility, and unity as we begin the year together.

Throughout the 21 days, daily prayer points will be provided to help guide and encourage participants during this spiritual journey. The fast is designed to be flexible and personal, allowing each individual to prayerfully discern how the Lord is leading them to participate.

Participants are encouraged to consider fasting from certain foods, activities, or distractions, or to dedicate additional time to prayer and reflection. Rather than prescribing a specific method or schedule, we invite each person to observe the fast according to their own circumstances, convictions, and spiritual goals.

As a church family, we commit to supporting one another in prayer and unity throughout this season. Our desire is to grow in spiritual renewal, deepen our dependence on God, and pursue His presence together with devoted hearts.

May God’s grace strengthen and sustain us as we seek Him.

Days 1-7 A Call to Repentance

For the first seven days of our fast, take this time to meditate on the power of repentance. Prepare your hearts as Holy Spirit reveals the hidden things and shines light for complete and total deliverance.  For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16) You have the mind of Christ. Repent from all thoughts and high imaginations coming from the kingdom of darkness, yielding to the will of God by the Holy Spirit, mind will and emotions.

Day 1: “I Daniel, set my face to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloths and ashes… (Daniel 9:3 AMP).  As you begin this 21 day fast, determine that you will set your priority to seek God’s face with all your heart. Come into His presence, worship Him for who He is---seek to know His heart.

Day 2:  But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. (Daniel 1:8). Consider those things that have been offered to you that come from the Kings of this world. Renounce anything that might defile your temple and pray for an increase of wisdom, skills and knowledge with the favor of God.

Day 3: “And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.  (Matthew 6:16-18). Do not look for the approval of others during this fast. Simply lay your heart at the feet of Jesus and renounce the fear of man as the Father who sees in secret rewards you before all men.

Day 4: ‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation. (Numbers 14:18). Take claim for the deliverance for you and your family from any curse that has been passed down from previous generations. Declare redemption through the blood of the Lamb of God.

Day 5:  And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”(Mark 9:28-29). Rid yourself of any doubt or unbelief as you pray. “This kind” will keep us from seeing our prayers answered. Be filled with the faith of God to believe for the miraculous.

Day 6: “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:25). Forgiveness comes through confession and through action by physically going to the individual and asking them to forgive. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal any evidence of un-forgiveness in your heart.

Day 7: I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. (John 14:30). Jesus said satan had nothing in common with him. From strife, to bitterness, worry, fear, anxiety, depression, haughtiness, pride, trauma due to emotional or occultic abuse, rejection, abandonment, offense, unforgiveness, etc. Jesus did not allow anything to attach itself to His soul. Pray for freedom for all that is against His holiness and righteousness and be free.

Days 8-14 – Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done

Jesus showed us in His word a simple yet powerful prayer. “Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done…”Matthew 6:10. We invite the kingdom and the will of heaven to invade our lives and our cities. Align yourselves with the perfect will of heaven and with the unstoppable kingdom which knows no end to bring transforming power through the Holy Spirit.

Day 8: Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is in your midst." (Luke 17:20-21) The kingdom of God is here and now. Pray the kingdom of Heaven into the earth providing restoration to your neighborhood, your city, state, country and the nations of the world.

Day 9: And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. (Matthew 10:1) With the authority through the power of God, release the kingdom into those who are infirmed and oppressed by the enemy. Pray for their healing to manifest and for every captive to be set free.

Day 10: You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.(Joel 2:26) Claim deliverance from all financial bondage, supplying you with the monetary means to cancel the financial debt. The kingdom of God is endless in provisions. Release yourself from the kingdom of Babylon and invite the will and strategies of heaven to overthrown and topple every demonic king afflicting your finances.

Day 11:  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) Destroy the bonds of oppression and depression off of God’s people.

Day 12: When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42) Take this time to deny our will and surrender to the will of the Father.

Day 13: I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [j]will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:20-24). Pray for the unity of God’s kingdom in the earth for God’s people to be one with Him and with one another.

Day 14: So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added [d]to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46-47). Pray for the unity of the Ekklesia to come into agreement for the salvation of souls, keeping in mind the Father’s heart for souls.

Days 15-21 Redeeming the Land

“Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. (Joel  2:12). Through the power of intimacy, we will see how lives, cities, people and nations can be changed and transformed through the Glory of God. You will be called to intimacy in this time. Expect visions, dreams, encounters and God appointments to manifest during these next 7 days. God is calling his people to redeem the land just as Jesus did! Prepare for divine strategies against the kingdom of darkness as God shows Himself as Faithful and True and Defender of His people!

Day 15: if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) God has promised to restore us back to Himself and re-establish the land once we return to Him. Intercession starts here.

Day 16: Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You? (Psalm 85:6) Restore us, O God; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! (Psalm 80:3) We pray this prayer for nationwide outpouring of salvation! We also pray for Holy Spirit to break open the doors for the gospel. There are many nations still considered closed to the gospel. Wage war against satan, the rulers and the principalities holding millions in spiritual bondage through religious spirit, pythos spirit, jezebel, leviathan, etc.  Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word [the gospel] (Colossians 4:2-3)

Day 17: Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. (2nd Timothy 2:22-26) Cleanse this land with your prayers against, violent activity, sex trafficking, abortion, addictions and substance abusers, the work of homelessness, etc. All of this is rooted in rebellion and sin. Cleanup time in our city, land!

Day 18: There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass[e] through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are [f]an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. (Deuteronomy 19:10-12). We cannot tolerate Jezebel and her witchcrafts (2 Kings 9:22). Break and destroy all ungodly covenants that have been made through the workings and elements of witchcraft, the occult, magic, new age, satanism, and all forms of these abominations. Ask the hosts of heaven to sweep through this land and ask Holy Spirit to direct our prayers accordingly.

Day 19: When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation. (Proverbs 11:10) is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. We are the people and the sheep of His pasture. How the ekklesia decides to pray will affect how our land is governed. Let us partner with heaven and decree that powerful Holy Spirit filled leaders will occupy the seats in government and the kingdom of our God would be established. Pray for President Trump, His team and for the Word of God to triumph in our land. For righteous laws to set up and for unrighteous laws to be brought down to nothing.

Day 20: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. (Psalm 122:6-7) Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” We don’t forget Israel in our prayers. Pray for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be guided with wisdom from on high and for the shalom of Israel. That Messiah, Yeshua, would reveal Himself as Savior to His chosen people, to the Jew first.

Day 21: And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. (Joel 2:28) God is pouring out His Spirit now. With all boldness and declarative praise, call forth the rain of His Spirit to flood our lives, our families and our nation will revival rain. Call forth the miracles, signs and wonders, those that have not been witnessed seen or experienced. All that souls may be won and God’s children would usher in the last move of His Spirit.
